The MDS 5034 is a mobile diamond wire saw developed by SST-Stahl for use in the natural stone industry. It is designed for splitting raw blocks of various stone types and for cutting slabs directly at the quarry site. This allows high cutting quality in quarry operations while combining the flexibility of a mobile solution with the precision and efficiency required in day-to-day production.

The saw unit can be swivelled in all degrees of freedom and adjusted continuously to the required cutting width. This makes it possible to achieve a compact transport dimension of under 3 m while providing a cutting capacity of up to 5.0 m x 3.4 m.

The fully hydraulic design of the saw unit ensures precise control and regulation together with a high level of robustness in demanding operating conditions. In addition, a specially developed control system for the cutting process enables significantly higher feed rates. This allows the MDS 5034 to be integrated efficiently into established quarry workflows without compromising cutting quality or process stability.
