Cutting
Cutting technologies for different material thicknesses and component geometries
Our cutting operations cover different requirements in material type, material thickness and component geometry. Depending on the application, we use laser, plasma or oxy-fuel cutting as well as complementary forming and separation processes. This creates the foundation for downstream manufacturing steps with high dimensional accuracy and reliable further processing.
Laser cutting
For precise cutting and bevel cutting, we use a Messer Cutting Systems laser cutting machine with a 5 kW CO₂ laser and angle-head configuration. This allows bevel cuts up to 48° for material formats up to 2,500 mm in width, 22,000 mm in length and plate thicknesses up to 20 mm.
Plasma cutting
For efficient cutting in the medium thickness range, we operate a fine-plasma cutting system from Messer Cutting Systems equipped with a Hypertherm HTR 260. The system processes formats up to 2,500 mm in width, 12,000 mm in length and plate thicknesses up to 35 mm.
Autogenous
For greater material thicknesses, we use an oxy-fuel cutting machine from Messer Cutting Systems. It processes material formats up to 2,500 mm in width, 10,000 mm in length and plate thicknesses up to 300 mm.
Bending
For forming operations within the cutting process, we use a Warcom press brake with a bending length of up to 3,000 mm, a throat depth of up to 500 mm, plate thicknesses up to 10 mm and a maximum pressing force of 300 tonnes.
Straightening and pressing
For straightening and pressing operations, we use a Voest BHA 300/4 straightening press with a maximum pressing force of 300 tonnes.
Rolling
For plate rolling applications, we use a HAEUSLER plate rolling machine. It processes plates up to 2,000 mm in width and 10 mm in thickness, with a maximum plate strength of 450 N/mm².
Sawing
For cutting tasks involving bars and profiles, we use a METORA saw with automatic feed. The cutting range extends up to 420 mm.
Plate shear
For straight plate cutting, we use a VOEST-ALPINE guillotine shear. It allows cutting lengths up to 4,100 mm per cut, plate thicknesses up to 15 mm for S355 and up to 8 mm for S690QL.
