Supply chain management for predictable sourcing and reliable delivery
Our supply chain management integrates sourcing, storage, production supply and outbound delivery into one coordinated process. The aim is to provide materials, components and services according to demand and to deliver packaged products reliably to the end customer.
Sourcing across the entire supply chain
Our supply chain begins with the structured sourcing of different categories of materials and services. This includes raw materials, components, operating supplies and site-related services.
- Raw materials such as plates, tubes, round bar and flat material
- Semi-finished and finished goods such as slewing gear units, radio remote controls and hydraulic components
- Operating and auxiliary supplies such as tools, oils, gases and chrome salts
- Services relating to the St. Stefan site
Coordinated processes from procurement to delivery
Our supply chain does not end with material availability, but with the delivery of packaged products to the end customer. This means the entire chain is managed as one connected process—from sourcing and internal material flows through to delivery-ready dispatch.
Lean-oriented supply chain management
We continuously optimise our supply chain in line with strategic principles such as lean management. This means coordinating value-adding activities as effectively as possible and consistently reducing non-essential activities and waste.
Demand-based sourcing and supply concepts
Depending on the type of production and the specific demand, we implement different supply concepts. These include demand-driven sourcing models for one-off production based on the order-to-make principle as well as KANBAN concepts for series production based on the pull principle.
Just-in-sequence and just-in-time for coordinated material supply
An increasing share of materials is ordered and delivered in line with demand through just-in-sequence and just-in-time concepts. This allows production flexibility to be aligned closely with customer requirements without building unnecessary stock.
What this means for our customers
A structured supply chain management approach supports predictable material availability, stable production processes and reliable delivery flows. For our customers, this means fewer interfaces, greater transparency and a supply model aligned with actual demand.
